Let’s Talk Empathy with Dr. Jillian Roberts!
We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Jillian Roberts, a leading Canadian child psychologist, educator, and author, for a special live event for educators, librarians and caretakers!
Often called a go-to child psychology expert by journalists, Dr. Roberts is a trusted voice featured regularly in the Huffington Post, Global News, and CBC. With over 20 years of experience, she brings warmth, expertise, and deep understanding to conversations about children’s mental health, emotional development, and resilience.

In addition to her clinical work—where she mentors doctoral residents, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care—Dr. Roberts is also a best-selling and award-winning author. Her beloved children’s book series, Just Enough, helps young readers (ages 3–6) understand complex topics such as birth and diversity, while The World Around Us introduces children (ages 5–8) to issues like poverty, online safety, and equality.
Dr. Roberts is also the author of Kids, Sex & Screens: Raising Strong, Resilient Children in the Sexualized Digital Age, an essential guide for parents supporting their preteens in navigating today’s online world.
Join us for this inspiring 45-minute live session, where Dr. Roberts will share how stories can build empathy, spark connection, and nurture resilience in young readers.
