Formation des animateurs communautaires<\/strong><\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>WITS Training programs are designed to help you deliver complete and engaging WITS Programs that include whole schools and communities.<\/p>\n
We have three options for training:<\/p>\n
\n- self-paced online,<\/li>\n
- live remote, and<\/li>\n
- live in-person.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Whether in person or remotely, live training is led by an experienced WITS educator, often accompanied by a Community Leader. Its content is customized for your needs, is more in-depth, and provides your personnel with the option to ask questions and receive feedback. It is designed to take approximately one hour. You may find it helpful to do the training in a group with others from your organization who will be engaged with the programs. The training for Community Leaders contains four modules that you can complete at your own pace:<\/p>\n
\n- Your Role<\/strong>
\nExplains why community leaders are an important part of the WITS Programs<\/li>\n- The WITS Welcoming Assembly<\/strong> (Grades K-3)
\nIntroduces the WITS Primary Program and engages students in taking part in the program.<\/li>\n- Tug-of-Help Assembly<\/strong> (Grades 4-6)
\nIntroduces the WITS LEADS Program and demonstrates that we are all stronger together.<\/li>\n- Classroom Visits
\n<\/strong>Explains the importance of community leader classroom visits throughout the school year and the purpose of reminder gifts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nOf note:<\/strong> Some Indigenous communities have adapted the WITS Welcoming Assembly for the whole community. They invited elders, parents, first responders, and area children. Everyone participated in \u201cusing their WITS\u201d to prevent victimization and bullying and to keep their schools and community safe. We recommend this whole-community approach to the programs.<\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
